If you’re looking for information about the transition from Phillips Paint & Decorating to Grauer’s Paint & Decorating, you’ve come to the right place. While the name is changing, the Centerville Road location in Lancaster will continue serving customers from the same convenient location with many of the same trusted products, services, and knowledgeable team members you’ve come to know over the years.

FAQ
Is this location permanently closing or moving?
No. The Centerville location will remain open and continue serving customers from the same location they have come to trust for years. Customers will continue to find the same quality products, services, and knowledgeable team members they have relied upon — now operating as Grauer’s Paint & Decorating.
Will the same Phillips employees be at Grauer’s Centerville?
Yes. The Phillips team is expected to remain in place and continue serving customers and the community as they always have.
In addition, Jim Doran, owner of Phillips Paint & Decorating, will remain with Grauer’s Paint & Decorating as Store Manager of the Centerville location.
What is going to change?
Collectively, our goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible.
The Centerville location will continue serving customers, the current phone number will remain active, existing projects and orders will be honored, and we are working hard to retain the team and product offerings customers have come to rely on.
Grauer’s will continue to offer Benjamin Moore paint, Hunter Douglas window treatments, wallpaper, and many of the same products currently stocked by Phillips, while also providing access to Grauer’s expanded inventory and special-order capabilities.

Will my color history and purchase history from Phillips remain available?
Yes. At this time, we anticipate customer color records and purchase history will remain available moving forward. Any purchases made at Grauer’s Paint & Decorating will also be available.
Will the store have adjusted hours during the transition?
Yes. Phillips Paint & Decorating will close at the end of business on July 8, 2026, and reopen on July 10, 2026, as Grauer’s Paint & Decorating – Centerville.
This brief closure will allow our team to complete the transition efficiently and ensure a smooth reopening.
At this time, no other schedule changes are planned. Should additional adjustments become necessary, we will communicate them as soon as possible.
What will the store hours be?
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
The store will also be closed on the major holidays.
Can I still use my Phillips charge account at Grauer’s?
Unfortunately, Phillips charge accounts will end on July 8, 2026.
The good news is that Grauer’s offers a similar charge account program. Customers who do not currently have a Grauer’s charge account will need to complete a credit application. The approval process is straightforward and is typically completed within a few business days.

How do contractors/businesses pay off current Phillips charge account balance?
Any outstanding Phillips account balances will remain with Phillips Paint & Decorating and will not transfer to Grauer’s Paint & Decorating.
In the coming days you will receive final billing for your Phillips charge account. Please make payable to: Phillips Paint & Decorating, 136 S. Centerville Road, Lancaster, PA 17603.

What happens to my tax exempt status with Phillips?
If you currently have tax-exempt status (such as a nonprofit organization) with Phillips Paint & Decorating, we kindly ask that you provide Grauer’s Paint & Decorating with a current copy of your tax exemption or resale certificate, so we can update our records. If you already have a Grauer’s account with tax-exempt status, no further action is needed. I currently have a custom window treatment project in process with Phillips. What will happen?
The same team that assisted you with your original purchase will continue to support your project through completion, including installation and future service needs.
Customer deposits will transfer to Grauer’s Paint & Decorating, and final payments should be made to Grauer’s Paint & Decorating.
I recently received a window treatment quote from Phillips Paint & Decorating. Will it be honored?
Grauer’s Paint & Decorating will make every reasonable effort to honor current quotes issued by Phillips Paint & Decorating.
Customers with questions regarding a specific quote are encouraged to contact the store directly.
I purchased window treatments from Phillips in the past. Will Grauer’s assist with warranty concerns or repairs?
Yes. Grauer’s Paint & Decorating will continue providing the same level of support Phillips customers have come to expect, including warranty assistance, repair coordination, and service-related questions.
Any warranty work currently in progress will continue as planned.
