In-Home Sales / Window Treatment Sales Consultant

Do you have a passion for interior design, and experience crafting custom design projects as a commissioned sales associate? We’re looking for you! Grauer’s Paint & Decorating is an award-winning and successful family-owned business. For over 85 years, Grauer’s has been a trusted source for home decorating solutions through the offering of Benjamin Moore paint, Hunter Douglas window treatments, and a large library of wallpaper books. Grauer’s is known for providing exceptional customer service with an exciting work environment you don’t want to miss. As a certified professional dealer for Hunter Douglas window treatments, Grauer’s has an opening for a window treatment consultant to join the Lancaster team. Candidates must have at least 2 years of prior experience selling high quality, in-home design products. An entrepreneurial mindset is required as the candidate is expected to find and pursue new opportunities for growth in sales. This position requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, a desire to collaborate with co-workers, and a passion for providing excellent customer service. The qualified candidate must be capable of selling value and have a strong history of managing tasks efficiently and effectively. Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience selling in-home design services and/or products
  • Proven ability to generate leads
  • Strong communication skills exemplified through customer relations and ability to have conversations with customers about financial investments
  • Demonstrate trustworthiness amongst co-workers and customers
  • Ability to manage responsibilities independently and be highly organized
  • Goal oriented and self motivated while willing to receive training and feedback
  • Excellent knowledge of Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Documents or aptness to be trained
  • A willingness to network both in and outside of office hours
  • Value creativity and expression of style
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to climb step ladders up to 10’Conduct in store appointments with customers to provide assistance in window treatment selection
  • Provide customers with accurate, timely quotes and follow up on quote status
  • Conduct in home appointments and ensure accuracy of measurements
  • Place window treatment orders in a timely manner and schedule installments
  • Be a liaison between customers and Hunter Douglas if issues arise
  • Assist in window treatment repairs that need returned to Hunter Douglas
  • Assist customers who are interested in custom made fabric items
  • Build and maintain designer relationships
  • Create and implement procedures and systems for the decorating department that promote efficiency and create revenue
  • Assist customers with paint color selections and wallpaper orders as needed
  • Various other responsibilities may be assigned
Time Requirements: 35-40 hours a week with occasional Saturday hours. In rare cases, appointments on weekends/ evenings Benefits:
